| Remarks | It is possible that this landscape is the Jeker valley, which is located near Goovaerts' last residence with studio in Sint Pieter (Maastricht). This panel probably dates from the last period of his life, when Henri Goovaerts had finally settled in Maastricht after many wanderings. The stamp in the lower left corner is not made by Henri Goovaerts. It is put there in the eighties to indicate the authenticity of this unsigned work. |
