Remarks |
The picture is divided with pencil into a precise grid of square blocks. The reason for this is Goovaerts' intention to copy this study to a larger size, namely the final painting. The final painting went to the buyer, the couple Weber-Honegger from RĂ¼ti, Switzerland. The study was kept by Goovaerts.
The stamp in the lower right corner is not made by Henri Goovaerts. It is put there in the eighties to indicate the authenticity of this unsigned work. |
