Remarks |
The physicist Heinrich Joseph Hoffmans (1842-1925) is considered one of the pioneers of the Dutch radiology. In 1896, shortly after the discovery of X-rays was published, Hoffmans, together with the physician L. van Kleef, built the first Dutch X-ray machine for the hospital in Maastricht. Hoffmans is portrayed here with the X-Ray tube. |
