Remarks |
Mathilde Haanebrink-Nijpels (1867-1945) was the wife of notary Petrus Haanebrink, who had already been portrayed by Henri Goovaerts in 1895. According to the biographical sketch that Lily Goovaerts wrote about her husband in 1947, Henri Goovaerts painted the portrait of Mathilde and that of their daughter Jeanne in the period 1906-1910. |
