| Remarks | According to the inscription, this portrait is dedicated to Lily Pahlmann. Lily Pahlmann was a lady-friend of Lily Goovaerts and the woman on the portrait probably is her mother. From photographs in the archives of Lily Goovaerts we know that the woman is called Louise and that she and Lily Pahlmann visited Henri Goovaerts in Maastricht in 1911. |
